Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences in Draper, Utah, is seeking a quality inspector to perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of medical device components and finished products, ensuring conformance with design specifications and SOPs.

Shift is Monday–Thursday 4:00pm–2:30am with a base pay of $19.98/hr plus a 10% differential for second shift. A high school diploma and English proficiency are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English.
• Experience with inspection procedures and use of visual, dimensional, and functional inspection tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of components and finished medical device products.
• Perform functional testing using automated and manual valve testing equipment.
• Review work instructions and SOPs; record traceable information on device history records and enter into JDE.

Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am Pay rate: $19.98/hr (you will receive an additional 10% differential for working 2nd shift)

How you'll make an impact:

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of components and/or finished medical device products using a wide variety of tools and equipment such as magnifying lamp, microscope, vision inspection system, etc. to ensure conformance with design specifications
• Perform functional testing of finished medical device products using both automated and manual valve testing equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and may enter information into JDE.
• Perform verification of manufacturing documents with component and device drawings
• May control inventory to ensure appropriate storage conditions and movement
• May train colleagues from other sites, including inspection of their work output
• Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping
