Alene Candles is seeking an Assistant Production Supervisor - 1st Shift at our New Albany, Ohio site to oversee pour end manufacturing. You will assist the Production Supervisor, manage both permanent and temporary staff, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency improvements on the line.

The role emphasizes 5S, training, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and maintenance to meet production targets and continuous improvement goals.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pour end manufacturing and supervise staff on the line.
• Assist in staffing, scheduling, and ensuring timely completion of commitments.
• Drive 5S, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate training and cross-training of team members.
• Identify bottlenecks, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate equipment issues to maintenance and monitor repairs.
