Carma Warranty is seeking a proactive Corporate Attorney to become the company’s first in-house counsel. You will work closely with executive leadership to shape legal strategy, draft and negotiate contracts, and build the legal infrastructure for scalable growth.

The role requires strong corporate, contracts, and employment law capabilities, plus the ability to balance risk with practical business solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Approximately 3 or more years of relevant legal experience preferred.
• Experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, employment law, regulatory compliance, or related business legal matters.
• Strong understanding of business operations and commercial relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with executive management and outside counsel.
• Prior in-house counsel experience is welcome but not required.
• Experience in regulated industries, consumer services, warranty products, or multi-state operations is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, vendor agreements, service agreements, and other business documents.
• Work with executive management and outside counsel to coordinate legal matters.
• Support employment, HR, regulatory licensing, and corporate governance initiatives.
• Help develop legal infrastructure, policies, and processes to support growth.
• Identify risks early and propose practical solutions for management.
