Job summary

Tooele County School District is seeking a dedicated Support Professional/ Aide to assist teachers at Copper Canyon Elementary School. Under supervision, you will support students in reading, math, and language arts, reinforce instructional goals, and help prepare materials to enhance the classroom program.

You will supervise students in non-instructional settings, accompany them on field trips, monitor behavior, support parent communication, and document progress while following safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• No Child Left Behind Act coursework/exam completion (as required).

Responsibilities

• Reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, and computer instruction for students.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in administration and correction of tests and assessments.
• Prepare instructional materials and reinforce instructional skills.
• Maintain records documenting student learning and performance.
• Support classroom behavior management to keep a safe, orderly environment.
• Supervise students in lunch, bus, playground, and other non-instructional areas.
• Accompany students on field trips for supervision.
• Distribute and use educational materials as needed.
• Assist with parent contact to foster involvement in education.
• Follow safety rules and procedures for all students.
