Job summary

Tooele County School District is seeking a paraprofessional to assist students in science and other subjects under the supervision of certified staff. You will help meet instructional goals and support classroom activities across a range of tasks.

Responsibilities include small-group tutoring, assisting with assessments, preparing materials, and supervising non-instructional areas. You will also participate in field trips and parent communications to foster inclusion and progress.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience working with special needs children desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in science and related subjects in classrooms.
• Work with students individually and in small groups.
• Assist with administration and correction of exercises and assessments.
• Help prepare instructional materials and reinforce skills.
• Maintain records of student learning and performance.
• Support classroom behavior management to keep students on task.
• Supervise non-instructional areas (lunch, bus, hallway, study hall).
• Accompany students on field trips for supervision.
• Create and distribute educational materials as needed.
• Assist with parent contact to involve families.
