Job summary

Corgi is seeking its first litigator to join a new practice focused on plaintiff employment law in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a unique opportunity to take on cases independently while mentoring future associates. The firm offers a guaranteed draw of $200k with potential for significant contingency-fee participation, equity stakes, and full back-office support.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in employment law, with the ability to manage cases from start to finish. Flexible geography allows you to open an office where you are located.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience preferred; will consider 2 years for the right candidate.
• Must handle cases independently without direct supervision.
• If you've built your own firm before, unmatched support and resources will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first litigator in a new practice and mentor associates.
• Handle plaintiff employment cases primarily in discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination.

Skills

Experience in discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, harassment

Ability to manage cases from intake through trial or settlement

Active bar in any US jurisdiction
