Job summary

Burnett Specialists Staffing | Recruiting in Houston seeks an experienced HR Generalist to own its newly established HR function. This first dedicated HR role supports ~50 employees and reports to leadership.

The ideal candidate will manage benefits, onboarding, and HR processes with a proactive, hands-on approach. Requirements include 5-7 years in HR Generalist roles, strong benefits experience, and bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of HR Generalist experience.
• Strong hands-on benefits administration experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Proactive and self-directed with the ability to take ownership.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs and assist employees on benefits.
• Review HR processes and identify opportunities to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Develop and streamline onboarding processes and procedures.
• Assist with development and coordination of the internship program.
• Create and update job descriptions across the organization.
• Support the wellness program and coordinate activities.
• Establish HR processes as the first dedicated HR professional.
• Maintain organized employee and HR documentation.
• Partner with leadership on HR needs and initiatives.
• Take ownership of day-to-day HR responsibilities and assist where needed.
