Job summary

AMD is seeking a Firmware Engineering intern/co-op in the United States. You will join a fast-paced team working on firmware for AMD’s discrete and embedded products, crafting and validating features on reference hardware, and participating in reviews and planning.

You will learn AGILE processes, gain real-world experience, and contribute to projects across internal platforms. This role is hybrid/onsite at multiple locations in the US, including Secaucus, NJ.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a US-based university in a Bachelor's program majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge or experience with low-level firmware, C/C++, and hardware architectures is preferred.
• Familiarity with Linux development environments and source control tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Craft, implement, debug, and validate firmware features on reference hardware and software.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and project planning.
• Produce clear documentation for software produced and collaborate across teams.
