Job summary

Apptronik is hiring a Firmware Engineer to help develop firmware for the dexterous hands of our humanoid robots. You will work with the hands firmware team on motor control, sensor integration, and real-time communications to connect the hand to the robot.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers as the hand moves from prototype to production, build out HIL/SIL tests, and contribute to firmware quality and reliability as fleets scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of embedded software experience, internships or projects welcome.
• Strong C/C++ skills; familiarity with Python, Docker, Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware for dexterous hand designs, including motor control and sensor I/O.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to align firmware with hardware design.
• Support HIL/SIL testing and reliability improvements at scale.
• Participate in code/design reviews and mentor junior teammates.
