Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a Hardware Integration Engineer to develop and synthesize robotic end-effectors for the Apollo humanoid robot. This role sits at the intersection of mechanical kinematics, embedded electronics, and grasping software, bringing complex hands from CAD to reality.

The successful candidate will solve packaging challenges, integrate sensors, route high-flex wire harnesses, and lead electro-mechanical bring-up of the hand subsystem to achieve dexterity and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware bring-up and diagnostic skills with test equipment.
• Understanding of robot kinematics and dynamics for calibration.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency with data analysis and technical documentation tools.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented testing and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the initial power-on, functional check, and system diagnostics for new prototype hardware and assemblies.
• Develop calibration procedures for hands to align with software control stack.
• Conduct verification tests at component and full hand assembly levels for performance and reliability.
• Own HIL testbed development and maintain automated verification environments.
• Record, analyze, and report test results with clear feedback to design teams.
• Bridge Mechanical, Electrical, and Autonomy teams on integration challenges.
