Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a Firewall Operations Solution Architect/Network Sensing Analyst to deploy and manage firewall and network sensing solutions across client environments. You will ensure security controls are effective and aligned with industry standards.

You will monitor events, analyze incidents, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to security awareness initiatives while staying current with evolving threats and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 2–3 years in network security operations with firewall focus.
• Hands-on experience with firewall products.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.
• Experience with Check Point and Tufin.
• Experience with Splunk and Netography for visibility.
• Familiar with ITIL processes and incident management.
• Certs such as CISSP or Security+ are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize firewall solutions to establish effective security controls.
• Monitor network traffic and security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct thorough analysis of security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain firewall policies, rules, and documentation to align with best practices and compliance requirements.
• Provide support for security audits and assessments, promoting adherence to security standards and policies.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to enhance the organization’s security posture.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security awareness training for staff regarding firewall operations and network security best practices.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on firewall management and incident response processes.
