Job summary

EY is seeking a Firewall Operations Solution Architect/Network Sensing Analyst to deploy, configure, and manage firewall and network sensing solutions across client environments. You will provide operational coverage, handle change requests, and support problem resolution to maintain network security.

You will monitor traffic, analyze security events, respond to incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve posture while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in network security operations, focusing on firewall management.
• Hands-on experience with firewall products is required.
• Certifications such as CISSP or Security+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize firewall solutions to establish effective security controls.
• Monitor network traffic and security events to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and remediation efforts for security incidents.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents.
• Develop and maintain firewall policies, rules, and documentation to align with best practices and compliance.
• Support security audits and assessments.
• Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies to enhance security posture.
• Contribute to security awareness training for staff on firewall operations and network security best practices.
• Mentor junior analysts in firewall management and incident response processes.
