Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalency diploma.
• Possession of Florida Certified Firefighter II certification.
• Florida EMT-Paramedic (EMT-P) certification.
• Current CPR and ACLS cards.
• NIMS certifications within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Responds to fire alarms; drives and operates emergency vehicles.
• Performs fire suppression and rescue operations; administers EMS care.
• Maintains and inspects equipment; conducts routine records.
• Attends firefighting, rescue, and EMS training sessions.
• Participates in disaster preparedness and public fire-safety education.
• Performs physical ability test and complies with NFPA 1582 standards.
