Greenwood County Fire Service – Greenwood County, SC seeks a Firefighter II / Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) to perform skilled firefighting, emergency medical response, and fire prevention duties. The role includes responding to emergencies, operating apparatus, and performing pre-fire planning with a focus on safety and teamwork.

The position requiresFirefighter II, EMR and CPR certs, a valid SC driver's license, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• EMR and CPR certifications required.
• Firefighter II certification (IFSAC or ProBoard) required.
• EVDT and Pump Operations 1 certification preferred.
• Valid SC driver’s license (CDL or Class E) required.

Responsabilités

• Respond to fire and medical emergencies with assigned equipment.
• Operate apparatus and equipment and direct water streams.
• Perform EMR procedures and provide patient care guidance.
• Conduct pre-fire planning surveys and inspections.
• Complete incident reports and coordinate with volunteers.
• Attend in-service training and support station operations.
