Burleson Fire Department is hiring firefighters with paramedic qualifications. Starting pay is $79,250 with $4,800 paramedic certification pay; Firefighter/EMT starting pay is $74,450. Paramedic certification is preferred, and a Texas Class B license is required.
Applicants with out-of-state reciprocity or IFSAC/National Registry relations are welcome to apply. Multiple sessions of PAT tests will be conducted in-house, and questions can be directed to Assistant Fire Chief Brent Sauble at
Responds to all fire, rescue, medical, and other calls for service up to and including Advanced Life Support/Mobile Integrated Health depending on certification. Sustains a high level of preparedness for emergencies, and maintains station, vehicles and equipment for fire suppression/prevention.
Paramedics Preferred
Applicants who will have Paramedic certification test results (DSHS or National Registry) by 10/15 will be considered.
