Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Team Leader to supervise the firearms department, directing associates in merchandising, inventory, pricing and customer service. You will ensure safety compliance with ATF/state/local laws and model exemplary service, while supporting department sales and staffing needs.

You will coordinate with management to train staff, schedule shifts, and execute merchandising directives, while maintaining pricing integrity and customer-focused operations across the floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–4 years in retail sales experience.
• Supervisor experience is a plus.
• Ability to calculate discounts and percentages.
• Ability to read/analyze reports and present findings.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, and inventory/POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct associates in merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing and customer service.
• Lead firearm safety and compliance with ATF/state/local laws and company policies.
• Support achievement of departmental sales, gross margin, and payroll goals.
• Staff the department, train, interview, and schedule team members.
• Execute merchandising directives and maintain plan-o-grams; prepare task lists.
