Bass Pro Shops in East Peoria, IL is seeking a Team Leader to direct department associates in merchandising, inventory control, pricing, and customer service. You will lead firearm sales activities while ensuring compliance with ATF rules and store policies, and help drive sales and staffing effectiveness.

The role emphasizes product knowledge, coaching on safety, and delivering exceptional customer experiences while coordinating staff training and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: 2 to 4 Years in Retail Sales.
• Supervisor experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead department associates in merchandising and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with firearm laws and company policies.
• Help achieve departmental sales and margins.
• Staff the department with service‑oriented associates; coordinate training and scheduling.
• Provide product knowledge and demos to staff; coordinate special events.
• Address customer and associate issues; maintain pricing and UPC integrity.
• Assist GSM/DM with supervisory duties and performance management.
• All other duties as assigned.
