Job summary

Florida Department of Law Enforcement is seeking an Operations Analyst I for the Firearm Purchase Program. The role analyzes criminal history records to determine firearm purchase eligibility and processes dealer requests while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Proficiency in FCIC/NCIC systems and strong communication skills are required, and certification in NCIC/FCIC is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the criminal justice system and law enforcement data.
• Knowledge of FCIC/NCIC, III, CCH, and NICS information systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret Florida Statutes and divisional policy.
• Knowledge of customer service etiquette and office administrative practices.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze criminal history records to determine firearm purchase eligibility.
• Process requests from licensed firearm dealers.
• Enter buyer information into the Firearm Eligibility System.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal laws.
