Bass Pro Shops in Portage, IN is seeking a Retail Manager - Firearms to oversee the firearms department, ensure compliance with ATF/state/federal laws, and deliver excellent customer service. The role includes merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, and staff development.

You will drive sales plans and manage daily operations with a focus on safety and compliance. You will lead safe handling practices, train and coach associates, and collaborate with the Gun Vault Specialist Team.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3–5 years in Retail Management that includes firearms safe handling practices.
Ability to identify firearms and ammunition and understand classification and operation.
Comply with ATF, state and federal laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

Supervise firearms department operations and staff.
Ensure compliance with ATF rules and forms.
Lead merchandising, pricing, and customer service initiatives.
Open/close store and manage access keys and alarm codes.
Recruit, train, and evaluate department staff; schedule and motivate the team.
Resolve customer and associate issues and provide a legendary shopping experience.
