Job summary

Johnson Controls in Dublin, Ohio seeks a Field Project Manager for the Fire division to lead complex fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects across commercial and institutional facilities. You will establish local project offices, define scope, identify risks, allocate resources, and manage schedules and costs.

The role requires coordination of design, permits, materials, and field staff, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while meeting AHJ and internal

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate or diploma in Fire & Life Safety, Electrical/Electronic or Security.
• Certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred.
• PM certification within 2 years of employment.
• NICET Level II within 1 year of employment.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Project).
• Available for frequent local travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate project progression from inception to completion including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation.
• Develop a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets. Conduct Work in Progress meetings.
• Understand and follow all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications.
• Ensure AHJ requirements and SOX procedures are followed.
• Coordinate change orders and work toward margin improvement on every job.
