Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Field Project Manager for its Fire division to lead complex alarm, security, and communications installations in commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and military facilities.

You will establish local project offices, define scope, manage risks, and allocate resources while tracking schedule, budget, safety, and quality to meet customer expectations. Frequent local travel is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certificate/diploma in Fire & Life Safety, Electrical/Electronic or Security; certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred.
• Project Management Professional certification expected within two years of employment.
• NICET Level II within one year of employment.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Project); ability to create macros.
• Frequent local travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects across various facilities.
• Set up local project offices, define scope, identify risks, and allocate resources.
• Manage schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction; present updates to management and customers.
• Ensure projects close on time and within scope.
