Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United States is seeking a field service technician to service portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints and manuals, troubleshoot installations, and manage daily service calls while working with various manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.

Strong communication, organization, and PC skills are required; on-call rotation for emergency service is part of the role, with competitive hourly

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.
• You will work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.
• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.
• Inspect customer systems
