Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Suppression Service Technician 3 to perform service and repairs on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot, and install equipment from multiple manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.

You will manage daily service calls, coordinate with customers, and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service.

Qualifications

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving abilities.
PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Any manufacturer certifications (ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem) are a plus; valid US driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform service and repairs on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems and suppression gas systems at customer sites.
Service, troubleshoot and install equipment from various manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and manuals.
Manage daily service calls and customer activity for program system products.
