Job summary

Johnson Controls in Ohio seeks an experienced service technician to perform maintenance and repair on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems, and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints and submittals, interpret specifications, and work with various systems including clean agent and dry chemical.

You’ll manage daily service calls and participate in on-call emergency rotations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving skills
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals
• Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products
• Work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards
• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements
• Inspect customer systems
• Use of Smart Phone and Equipment
• May include government work
