Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems and energy efficiency, is seeking a field service technician to perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems, and Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot, and install equipment from multiple manufacturers, including ANSUL and Simplex.

You will manage daily service calls, assist customers promptly, and participate in on-call rotations for emergency service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in related role.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer facing service and problem-solving skills.
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and manuals.
• Manage daily service calls and customer activity.
• Work with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards.
• Assist customers with questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Inspect customer systems per contract requirements.
