Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field service technician to perform maintenance on portable fire extinguishers and related building systems at client sites. You will read schematics and operate various software programs while managing daily service calls and on-call rotations.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, strong communication, and solid PC skills (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook). Certifications such as ANSUL or Kiddie PyroChem are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Required 3+ years of experience in service and repairs for building systems.
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Any Manufacturer certifications is a plus; ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and manuals.
• Manage daily service calls and customer activity; assist with questions and on-call emergencies.
• Inspect suppression gas systems based on contract requirements; work with smart devices and field equipment.
