Job summary

Johnson Controls in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Service Technician to service and repair portable fire extinguisher, kitchen hood, and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, install and troubleshoot with various manufacturers, and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service.

Strong communication and customer-facing skills are essential. Day-to-day tasks include managing service calls, documenting activities, and using smartphones and field equipment.

Qualifications

• PC Skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot and install various manufacturers (Simplex, ANSUL) at customer sites.
• Read/interpret blueprints, diagrams, specs, and manuals for systems.
• Manage daily service calls and customer activity for program systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
