Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field service technician to perform service and repairs on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints and manuals, troubleshoot systems, and manage daily service calls and customer activity.

The role requires strong communication, organizational and customer-facing skills; on-call rotation is involved and basic PC skills (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook) are expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving abilities.
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Any manufacturer certifications is a plus; ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem
• Valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems at customer sites; read blueprints, diagrams, submittals and manuals; manage daily service calls and customer activity.
• Assist customers with questions in a timely and professional manner; participate in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.
