Job summary

Summit Fire & Security in Garland, Texas is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install fire sprinkler systems and maintain piping, fixtures and industrial processing networks.

You will read blueprints, calculate material measurements, mentor apprentices, and ensure safety policies while working solo or in teams. A HS diploma, a current Fire Sprinkler License, and 3–5 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced technical training preferred.
• Current Fire Sprinkler License required.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe systems and valves according to specifications.
• Cut, thread, assemble and bond piping and tubes according to specifications.
• Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings.
• Remove and replace worn components.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
• Mentor and coach apprentices and helpers on proper installation techniques.
• Ensure company vehicle is clean and well maintained.
• Other duties may be assigned.
