Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install fire sprinkler systems and maintain piping, fixtures and industrial processing systems. The role requires reading blueprints, precise measurements and teamwork, with strong problem solving and customer service skills.

Ideal candidates have a HS Diploma or equivalent, a current Fire Sprinkler License and 3–5 years’ experience installing pipe systems and valves; 5+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Fire Sprinkler License required.
• 3–5 years’ experience installing pipe systems and valves; 5+ years preferred.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team with strong math and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe systems and valves per specifications.
• Cut, thread, assemble and bond piping and tubes according to specifications.
• Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings.
• Remove and replace worn components.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
• Mentor and coach Fire Sprinkler Fitter Apprentices and Helpers.
• Ensure company provided vehicle is clean and well maintained.
