Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install fire sprinkler systems, and maintain piping and fixtures. The role includes following blueprints, taking precise measurements, and mentoring apprentices during installations.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a current Fire Sprinkler License, and 3–5 years of experience (5+ preferred).

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Advanced technical school training or related work experience preferred.
• Current Fire Sprinkler License required.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe systems and valves.
• Cut, thread, assemble and bond piping and tubes according to specifications.
• Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings.
• Remove and replace worn components.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
• Mentor/fire sprinkler fitter apprentice and helpers on installation techniques.
• Ensure company vehicle is clean and well maintained.
