Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Systems Technician 4 in Rancho Cordova, CA. The role focuses on installing and servicing commercial and industrial fire protection systems, with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of experience, knowledge of wet/dry/pre-action systems and a clean driving record. Licenses or NICET certification are a plus; training is provided.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in the industry.
• Working knowledge of wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems, and fire pump.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Preferred: Sprinkler and Backflow license, NICET certification, and skilled-trade program completion.

Responsibilities

• Perform the installation of fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial and industrial applications.
• Service and troubleshoot wet/dry/pre-action systems, fire pumps-based sprinkler systems, and backflows.
• Read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Carry/move equipment up to 60 pounds; work in ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; dispose of trash; wear safety equipment.
• Secure tools and equipment after use; complete time reports and documents.
• Occasional shifting or weekend work to meet customer service needs.
