Johnson Controls in Rancho Cordova, CA seeks a Fire Sprinkler Service Apprentice Technician to learn and assist in installing fire protection piping, valves, and accessories for commercial and industrial sites.

Applicants must be 18+, possess a valid driver's license, and be enrolled in an approved apprenticeship program. The role requires physical labor, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to follow instructions on a fast-paced project site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation to jobsite.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Be enrolled in Grinnell's approved Apprenticeship Program and meet its requirements.
• English communication, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Learn/Assist in the installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Follow all safety policies and maintain proper documentation for work performed.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs and perform physical labor.
• Carry out duties in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow verbal and written instructions.
