Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain sprinkler systems and piping networks. The role includes reading blueprints, measuring materials, and ensuring safety and quality on site.

Ideal candidates will have a HS Diploma, a current Fire Sprinkler License, and 3–5 years of installation experience; advanced tech training is a plus. Willingness to travel and work both independently and as part of a team is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Advanced technical school training or related work experience, preferred.
• Current Fire Sprinkler License, required.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe systems and valves according to specs.
• Cut, thread, assemble and bond piping and tubes.
• Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings.
• Remove and replace worn components.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
• Mentor and coach Apprentices/Helpers on installation techniques.
• Ensure company vehicle is clean and well maintained.
• Other duties may be assigned.
