Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician responsible for laying out, fabricating, installing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems and associated piping and fixtures. The role requires hands-on installation, reading blueprints and working with a team to meet project schedules.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of installation experience, a current Fire Sprinkler License, and the ability to work independently or in a crew. Travel and physical demands apply.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Advanced technical school training or related work experience preferred.
• Current Fire Sprinkler License required.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe systems and valves
• Cut, thread, assemble and bond piping and tubes according to specifications
• Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings
• Remove and replace worn components
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
• Mentor and coach Fire Sprinkler Fitter Apprentices and Helpers on proper installation techniques
• Ensure company provided vehicle is clean and well maintained in accordance with company policies.
• Other duties may be assigned.
