Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain fire sprinkler systems and piping. You will read blueprints, cut and assemble piping, and train apprentices while ensuring safety and quality on the job.

Local travel and on-site work are expected. The ideal candidate has a valid Fire Sprinkler License and 3–5 years of installation experience, with the ability to work independently or in teams.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Current Fire Sprinkler License, required.
• 3–5 years’ experience installing pipe systems and valves, 5+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe systems and valves according to specifications.
• Cut, thread, assemble and bond piping and tubes per blueprints.
• Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings.
• Mentor Fire Sprinkler Fitter Apprentices and Helpers.
• Follow safety policies and ensure equipment is maintained.
