Job summary

Summit Fire & Security in Bozeman, MT is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to layout, fabricate, install and maintain sprinkler systems, piping, fixtures and related processing equipment.

Candidates should have 3–5 years' installation experience, a HS diploma, a current Fire Sprinkler License, strong reading of blueprints, and the ability to work alone or in a team. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Fire Sprinkler License required.
• 3-5 years' experience installing pipe systems and valves; 5+ years preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe systems and valves according to specifications.
• Cut, thread, assemble and bond piping and tubes according to specifications.
• Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings.
• Remove and replace worn components.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
• Mentor and coach Apprentices and Helpers on proper installation techniques.
• Ensure company provided vehicle is clean and well maintained in accordance with company policies.
• Other duties may be assigned.
