Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to design and prepare layout drawings for fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of fire protection codes, hydraulic calculations and CAD software.

You will read blueprints, perform layouts, coordinate with engineers and project teams, ensure code compliance, and prepare proposal data and technical documentation for site installations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM software.
• Understanding of NFPA and local codes.
• Strong ability to read architectural/MEP drawings.
• NICET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler systems and standpipes, water supplies, pumps, foam systems and tanks.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Develop layouts and final master drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers/consultants and project teams.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare material lists.
