Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to design and prepare layout drawings for fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial and residential settings.

The ideal candidate will apply fire protection codes, perform hydraulic calculations, and coordinate with project managers, engineers and contractors to ensure all systems meet safety standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of fire protection codes and hydraulics is required.
• Experience with CAD software for sprinkler layouts is essential.
• Familiarity with NFPA and local building codes is expected.

Responsibilities

• Apply fire protection codes to sprinkler system design.
• Read and interpret architectural/MEP drawings and reports.
• Develop working layouts and final master drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and project managers.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare material lists.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA and local codes.
