Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to create and prepare layout drawings for fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential projects. You will work with project managers and engineers to ensure designs meet NFPA and local codes while supporting hydraulic calculations and material planning.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, AutoSPRINK), and familiarity with BIM

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s in engineering, drafting or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD and CAD software: Revit, Navisworks, AutoSPRINK, BIM 360.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare layout drawings for fire sprinkler systems in various settings.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to develop compliant layouts.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and material take-offs for job sites.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers and contractors to meet codes and client requirements.
• Assist with proposal documents and technical data.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA, local and state codes.
