Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Tennessee seeks a Fire Sprinkler Designer to create layout drawings for sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial and residential settings. You will apply NFPA and local codes, read blueprints, and prepare master drawings with CAD software.

The role requires 3+ years in fire sprinkler design and AutoCAD proficiency, with NICET certification preferred. Open to Chattanooga location with strong collaboration with engineers and PMs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's in engineering, drafting or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of fire sprinkler design and AutoCAD experience.
• Experience with CAD software: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, AutoSPRINK, BIM 360.
• NICET certification (Level II+) in Water-Based Systems Layout preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply fire protection codes and standards to fire sprinkler system design.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and reports.
• Develop working layouts and final master drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and project managers.
