Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems to ensure regulatory compliance and occupant safety. You will work with clients, contractors, and authorities to address issues and uphold system integrity.

Responsibilities include routine inspections of wet, dry and pre-action systems per NFPA 25, documentation of findings, and performing maintenance while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in fire protection preferred.
• CalFire Certified Fitter Card required.
• NFPA knowledge and relevant codes (NFPA 13, NFPA 25) familiarity.
• NICET certifications strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and maintain wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems.
• Prepare detailed inspection and test reports per NFPA standards.
• Test and evaluate sprinkler components, valves, pumps and controls.
• Inspect piping for corrosion, leaks and damage; recommend repairs.
• Perform maintenance: replace parts, clean heads, lubricate parts.
• Respond to service calls; diagnose and restore system function.
• Document all activities and communicate with clients and coordinators.
• Coordinate with Deficiency Sellers and prepare repair estimates.
