Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC has an immediate opening for a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician. You will inspect, test, repair, and maintain sprinkler systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will work with clients, contractors, and authorities to address issues and preserve system integrity. Responsibilities include NFPA 25-compliant inspections, detailed reporting, testing of heads, valves, and pumps, and timely maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems or related field preferred.
• G Card for Fire Sprinklers.
• Dual Certification - G Card and F Card - preferred.
• Solid understanding of fire protection codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA 13, NFPA 25 and relevant building and fire codes.
• NICET certifications strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems per NFPA 25.
• Prepare inspection reports and deficiency notes per NFPA standards.
• Test system components including heads, valves, pumps, and controls.
• Inspect piping for corrosion, leaks, or damage and propose fixes.
• Perform maintenance and component replacement to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect Fire pump assemblies and test flow rates and pressures.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies to restore operation.
• Document all activities in the Service Trade platform.
• Coordinate with Deficiency Sellers for estimates and notes.
• Schedule work with clients and service coordinators; ensure safety and efficiency.
