Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector to perform on-site inspections in Sioux Falls, SD. The role involves testing sprinkler and fire alarm systems, recording results, and producing official reports for each site visit.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or higher (college degree preferred), knowledge of NFPA standards, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• College Degree is preferred; however, a High School diploma or equivalent is acceptable with acceptable experience.
• Study NFPA standards for inspection/testing of fire protection systems and stay current with code requirements.
• NICET certifications preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire sprinkler and fire alarm inspections and testing.
• Record results and generate Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates.
• Download inspection data and generate completed reports after site visits.
• Proficiency with test equipment (sensitivity testers, multimeters, battery analyzers, sound level meters) and Palm handheld devices.
