Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is hiring a sprinkler inspector to perform building sprinkler inspections, test devices, record results, and prepare reports. You will assist Lead Inspectors or the Inspection Manager with data collection and paperwork such as Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates.

The role emphasizes timely, accurate inspections, use of Palm handheld devices, and generating final reports.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred; however, a High School diploma or equivalent is acceptable with experience.
• Study and learn NFPA standards for inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
• Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and be customer service oriented.
• Sprinkler experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with test equipment and PC networking skills including Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inspections are completed on time and accurately.
• Test sprinkler control panels, devices, and functions; enter results into Palm handheld device.
• Download data and generate completed Sprinkler Inspection Reports.
• Participate in monthly team meetings and support management as needed.
