Job summary

Century Fire Protection LLC is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector in Hickory, NC to inspect, test, and service fire sprinkler systems, ensuring readiness and compliance. The role involves reading blueprints, testing for leaks, and coordinating with service teams to address deficiencies.

Preferred NICET II/III certification and backflow certification. Requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, high school diploma, clean MVR, and ability to work overtime and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of experience inspecting different fire sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards for inspection, testing, and installation.
• NICET II or III certification preferred.
• Backflow certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Clean MVR required.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, servicing, installation, and maintenance of water-based sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and fire codes.
• Test systems for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.
• Identify deficiencies and document service details.
• Coordinate inspection deficiencies with needed service to correct them.
• Communicate with the Service Manager and Inspections Coordinator on status and requirements.
