Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector. A High School Diploma or GED and 2–3 years inspecting fire sprinkler systems are required, with NFPA knowledge; NICET II/III certification and Backflow certification preferred. A pre-employment drug screen and clean MVR may be required.

Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, servicing and maintaining water-based sprinkler systems, reading blueprints, and documenting findings. Up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 2–3 years inspection experience of various fire sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards for inspection, testing and installation.
• NICET II or III Certification (preferred).
• Backflow Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing and preventative maintenance of water-based or sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and fire codes.
• Perform system tests for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.
• Complete service documentation detailing findings.
• Coordinate between inspection deficiencies and required service to correct findings.
• Communicate with Service Manager/Inspections Coordinator on delays and status to meet scope.
