Job summary

Century Fire Protection plc in Charlotte, NC is seeking a field technician to perform inspections, testing, servicing, installation and preventative maintenance of water-based and sprinkler systems. Read blueprints and NFPA standards to ensure compliance and document results on each site visit.

You will coordinate with the Service Manager and Inspections Coordinator, addressing deficiencies and keeping customers informed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards for inspection/testing.
• NICET II/III and backflow certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, servicing, installation, and preventive maintenance of water-based and sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and fire codes.
• Test systems for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.
• Identify deficiencies and complete detailed service documentation.
• Coordinate inspection deficiencies with the service needed to correct them.
• Communicate with the Service Manager and Inspections Coordinator regarding job status, delays, and requirements.
• Help ensure customers receive work according to the proposed scope.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
