Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Florida is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician to independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems. You will diagnose deficiencies, use hand tools and testing equipment, and document inspections accurately while ensuring NFPA compliance.

Travel to job sites is required; you will mentor junior technicians, uphold safety policies, and contribute to mission-critical life-safety work with an industry-leading team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET/ACE Level 2 is required for this role.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.

This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision.
