Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is hiring a Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician to independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems. The role requires NICET II certification, 2+ years of field experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

You will diagnose deficiencies, use testing equipment, complete reports, and ensure NFPA compliance while traveling to jobs. Benefits include a company vehicle and full-time work.

The Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician is responsible for independently performing inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. Looking for a NICET Level II certified inspector.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• NICET Level II certification is required.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and inspection procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Other Duties

• Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
• Performs other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.

Pay Range

• $35-$40 per hour DOE.
• Sign on Bonus: $1000
• Weekly Pay, Full-Time work.
• Company Vehicle is provided.
